How we check every physio
Anyone can say they are good. Here is exactly what we do before a clinic is marked as checked.
Four checks before a clinic is listed
Verify
We confirm they’re registered with AHPRA, the national practitioner register.
Confirm
We confirm the business is real, where it operates and who owns and runs the clinic.
Check
We check they carry current professional insurance for the care they provide.
Review
We review how they run the clinic, including pricing, plans and cancellations.
What we do not do
No reviews or testimonials
Health advertising rules limit testimonials, so we show verified facts instead.
No paid shortcuts
Paying for a bigger listing never changes these checks, and sponsored spots are always labelled.
No medical advice
We are a directory. Talk to your GP or physio about your own care.
Check a physio yourself
Every registered physio is on the public AHPRA register. It takes about a minute, and you do not need an account.
- 1
Search by name or number
Enter the physio’s name, or their registration number if they have given it to you.
- 2
Match the profession
Check the profession reads Physiotherapist and the registration is current.
- 3
Look for conditions
Check for any conditions or notes on the registration. If you are unsure what one means, ask the clinic.
Search the AHPRA register
A physio registration number starts with PHY, followed by 10 digits, for example PHY0001234567.
Open the AHPRA registerOpens ahpra.gov.au in a new tab.
